OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believes that music should be accessible to everyone.

We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community where students can learn and grow in a supportive environment.

OUR VOCAL COURSE

We offer a variety of courses which include private lessons, group classes, and workshops. We also focus on the development of high-level solo performance skills at concerts and competitions. All of our students can earn performance awards as part of our courses.  Open to Primary Aged kids who can read well.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Our instructors are all experienced and accomplished musicians who are passionate about teaching music.

They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their students and work closely with each individual to help them achieve their goals.

CONCERTS

  • Singing in a concert provides constant motivation to practice and improve by way of weekly rehearsals.
  • Singing in concert also helps students to develop their teamwork skills playing alongside their fellow musicians.
  • Concerts are a great experience for overall music development.
  • Concerts also create opportunities for the whole family to be involved as performers and as audience.

FEES

Benefits of Singing in a Choir for Children and Teens

1. Builds Confidence and Self-Esteem

Choir participation helps children develop a positive sense of self. Performing as part of a group removes the pressure of standing alone, allowing even shy students to grow in confidence. Over time, they learn to trust their voice, take creative risks, and enjoy the applause of achievement.

2. Strengthens Focus, Discipline, and Responsibility

Choirs require attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, and commitment to rehearsals. Young singers learn self-discipline, how to prepare and practice, and how their effort directly influences group success. These skills transfer to schoolwork and other activities.

3. Enhances Cognitive and Academic Skills

Research shows that music education improves:

  • Memory
  • Language development
  • Reading fluency
  • Pattern recognition
  • Problem-solving skills
Singing engages both hemispheres of the brain, helping children process information more efficiently.

4. Develops Emotional Intelligence

Choir singing encourages self-expression and emotional awareness. Children learn to interpret lyrics, phrasing, and mood. They also experience the emotional connection of group music-making, helping them regulate emotions, cope with stress, and build empathy.

5. Fosters Teamwork and Social Skills

A choir is a cooperative environment. Young singers learn:

  • Active listening
  • Blending and balancing voices
  • Communicating respectfully
  • Supporting peers
They become part of a community where every voice matters, promoting inclusivity and belonging.

6. Improves Vocal Health and Breathing Techniques

Choir training teaches:

  • Proper posture
  • Healthy breathing
  • Diaphragmatic control
  • Clear diction

These skills enhance vocal longevity and general respiratory health. Improved breathing also supports relaxation and stress management.

7. Encourages Cultural Appreciation

Children encounter music from different eras, languages, and cultures. This broadens their worldview, enhances cultural literacy, and increases appreciation for diversity in artistic expression.

8. Provides Performance Experience

Regular performances help children:

  • Set goals
  • Work toward deadlines
  • Experience the excitement of live performance
These experiences build resilience and public-speaking confidence that benefit them throughout life.

9. Supports Mental Health and Well-Being

Group singing has been shown to release endorphins and reduce anxiety. The shared rhythm and harmony create a sense of unity and joy. Choir becomes a positive outlet during stressful school years.

10. Offers a Positive, Screen-Free Activity

In a digital world, choir provides structured time away from screens. Children engage physically, mentally, and emotionally while forming real-world connections with peers.

Conclusion

Singing in a choir is more than a musical activity, it is a powerful developmental experience. Children and teens gain confidence, discipline, social skills, cultural understanding, and emotional well-being while discovering the joy of making music together.
