🎵 About Our Music Program

What does your music program include?
Our complete music program includes private and group instrumental or vocal lessons, orchestra and choir training, graded music theory, internationally benchmarked music awards, concerts, competitions, and scholarship training. It is designed to provide students with a well-rounded and structured musical education from beginner through to advanced levels.

How is your program different from standard private music lessons?
Unlike standalone private lessons, our program integrates performance, theory, ensemble work, and goal-based progression. Students don’t just learn an instrument—they develop musicianship, confidence, teamwork skills, and a deep understanding of music.

Is this a structured, long-term music pathway?
Yes. Our program offers a clear progression pathway from primary through to secondary school, allowing students to grow steadily in skill, confidence, and musical understanding over time.

Can students join at any stage or level?
Students can join at most stages, whether they are complete beginners or have previous experience. Placement is based on age, ability, and musical background to ensure the best learning experience.

How do private and group lessons work together?
Private lessons focus on individual technique and repertoire, while group lessons, orchestra, and choir develop ensemble skills, listening, rhythm, and musical collaboration. Together, they create a balanced and effective learning model.

Are lessons private, group-based, or both?
Our program includes both private and group learning. This combination allows students to receive personalised instruction while also benefiting from collaborative music-making.

How are students placed into groups or ensembles?
Students are placed according to age, skill level, and experience. This ensures they feel challenged yet supported, and can progress confidently alongside peers.

How do you cater for different learning speeds and abilities?
Our teachers tailor instruction to each student’s needs. Progress is flexible, and students are encouraged to advance at a pace that suits their ability and confidence.

Do students learn music theory as part of the program?
Yes. Graded music theory is an integral part of our program and supports students’ understanding of rhythm, pitch, harmony, and musical structure.

How do teachers track and support student progress?
Teachers monitor progress through regular assessments, lesson feedback, performances, and goal setting. Parents are kept informed of their child’s development.

What skills do students gain through ensemble participation?
Students develop listening skills, rhythm, teamwork, discipline, and musical awareness, all of which are essential to becoming a well-rounded musician.
